Interview with Evgenij Soloviev

Tell me about yourself and the work you do.

My name is Evgenij Soloviev. I am 21 year old photo illustrator from Nizhniy Novgorod, Russia. This year I'll graduate an University in the marketing sphere and planning work in this stream. In my view photo manipulation is the easiest way to bring the viewer any information. For those who can not draw, you can safely take up photography and work of these pictures with your thoughts. In my images are mixed feelings such as loneliness, despair, and peace of mind. All these states are displayed on the background of the epic landscapes. Many people think that all these feelings I've missed through itself, that's not so. One of reasons, why I do that, is to strengthen positions of the Russian designers in art.

How did you get started in what you're doing now?

I started off in the "Design World" in spring of 2005. At first I began with processing of photos with Photoshop and Corel Painter, then for a joke I cut out objects and placed them in non-standard landscapes. As I grew more serious, I started designing much more seriously. It is necessary to note that I the self-educated myself completely.
